DAY 01: Arrive Tirana
Arrival at Tirana International airport meet, assist and transfer to Kruja.
Kruja is a medioeval city , visit of the castle , Skanderbeg museum , the old bazar hand craft’s market .
Overnight at hotel.

DAY 02: Kruja – Durres
After breakfast, transfer to Durres , one of the most ancient cities in Albania . Visit of the fortress, with a Prominet venetian tower, The amphitheatre one of the biggest in the Balkan Peninsula , Archeological museum . After we proceed to Berat. Its most striking feature is the collection of white Ottoman houses climbing up the hill to its castle, earning it the title of “ town of thousand windows “ . The town also has a 15th century mosque and a number of churches – houses , we will visit the Onufri Iconmuseum. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 03: Berat – Apollonia
After breakfast, proceed to archaeological site of Apollonia, known for its Greek theatre, ancient fortifications and temple of gods, Roman classic promenade, city forum library, medioeval monastry and church. After we drive to Vlora. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 04: Vlora – Sarande
After breakfast, proceed to Saranda. This day we will only drive along the Albanian Riviera overlooking the Ionian Sea. 30 minutes from Vlora we will stop at Llogara National Park for a quick break to have a stunning view of one of the most dramatic mountains of the Mediterranean and with panoramas overlooking the sea. We continue for Porto Palermo, where the Ali Pasha Castle stands like a barrier in front of the blue rocky sea as a protection for the country. The bay of Porto Palermo once served as an important secret submarine base during the regime days. The semi abandoned base and the tunnel are still visible. After the visit of Porto Palermo we proceed to Borsh, peace surrounded by waterfalls and running water. After we will continue along the breath-taking road to Saranda.

DAY 05: Sarande – Butrinti
After breakfast, proceed to discover Butrint. Interesting things to see in Butrint include the Greek amphitheatre later remodeled by the Romans, the baptistry, the cathedral, the lion’s gate, and the museum which includes many interesting artifacts found in the area.

DAY 06: Sarande – Blue Eye

After breakfast, proceed to Blue Eye and Gjirokaster. You visit Blue Eye spring , formed by underground springs, continue to Gjirokaster. Many houses in Gjirokaster have a distinctive local style that has earned the city the nickname “ Town of the stones “, because most of the old houses have roofs covered with stones Unesco World Heritage Site . Great importance are the museum of Weapons , Enver Hoxha house. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 07: Gjirokaster – Voskopoja
After breakfast, proceed to Voskopoja through the heart of Vjosa valley , sorronded by imposing mountains in all sides. Voskopoja was an important cultural center with several churches and the first printing press in the Balkans Continuation to Korca.

DAY 08: Korca – Ohrid
After breakfast, proceed to visit of the Icon Museum. Departure for Macedonia, you stop to visit Sveti Naum monastery. Afterwards you continue to Ohrid to discover churches, amphitheatre and the castle.

DAY 09: Ohrid – Tirana

DAY 01: Arrive Tirane
Arrival at Tirane airport meet, assist and transfer to the ancient city of Shkodra, which has been the capital city of Illyrians state of Ardians. In the evening walking tour to the heritage city center where you can see, the Watch Tower, steam-bath, Grand Church, Grand Mosque etc.

DAY 02: Shkodra – Lezha
After breakfast, proceed to visit the Rozafa Castle and its museum to learn about the legend of the woman who was buried alive. The castle has been built in the II century BC. The tour will proceed to Lezha city, known since the IV century BC with the name of Lissus. Visit in “Skenderbey Memorial” which is found into Saint Nicolas Cathedral, and Lezha’s castle which is testimony of Illyrian civilization. In afternoon transfer to Kruja city where you’ll visit The Medieval castle and the museum of our National Hero Gjergj Kastrioti Skenderbey, a stop to the old bazaar where you can have handmade souvenirs shopping. The tour proceeds to the coastal city of Durres which is known since the year 627 BC with the name of Epidamnus, later the name of the city was Dyrrah. In the evening you’ll visit the fortress of the city build in the IV-V century BC. Roman amphitheater with the capacity of 20.000 spectators and the Venetian tower.

DAY 03: Durres – Apollonia
After breakfast, proceed to the coastal city of Vlora. Visit to medieval monastery of Ardenica, proceed to archaeological park Apollonia, achieved its zenith in the 4th – 3rd centuries B.C. In the first century B.C., Octavian Augustus studied philosophy there until he heard news of Caesar’s murder in the Senate and went on to become the next Roman emperor. In afternoon arrival to Vlora which is known since IV century BC with the name of Aulona. Visit to Muradie’s Mosque build in 1542 by architect Mimar Sinani who is even the architect of Sulejmanie mosque in Istanbul.

DAY 04: Valona – Himara
After breakfast, the trip proceeds along the Ionian seashore or as known Albanian Riviera is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and unspoiled regions in Albania. Short visit to Oricum, which was established in the 7th – 6th century B.C. Julius Caesar, stationed his troops in camps there for several months, until they were taken by Pompey Pompeius Magnus. Stopover to Dhermi, a large and beautiful village with about 30 old churches picturesquely placed on the rough mountainside. Lunch in ancient city of Himara. After lunch continue to Saranda, short visit to Porto Palermo bay, the castle of Ali Pasha Afternoon arrival to Saranda, Here you’ll learn about the ancient history of this city known since the III century BC with the name of Onhezmi. In the evening visit to Lekursi castle from where you’ll enjoy a charming view of Saranda bay and the island of Corfu, 9 km away from Saranda. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 05: Sarande – Butrint
After breakfast, proceed to ancient city of Butrint UNESCO World heritage, visit to Acropolis which belongs to the VIII century BC, the Asclepius Temple the god of healing of IV century BC, the Gate of the Lake of IV century BC, the Roman theatre of III century BC, Agoraja the main trading center of the city, the gymnasium, a holy pagan place. Continue to Gjirokastra. Stop to visit the Mesopotamian Monastery, Saint Nicolas church which belongs to Byzantine period, and the old residual of the ancient city of Foinica. In afternoon arrival to stony city of Gjirokastra, UNESCO’s world heritage. Visit at the fortress, built in IV century, the National museum of Weapons, the church in the old Bazaar, the characteristic shops of Gjirokastra.

DAY 06: Gjirokastra – Permet
After breakfast, we’ll know the history of Gjirokaster, proceeding to the Historic Museum of Weapons, the Church in the old bazaar and its characteristic shops. Later the tour proceeds along Vjosa River where you’ll see the beautiful canyons of Kelcyra outfall. Lunch in Permet where you’ll taste all the traditional specialties such as: baked lamb on a spit, Chicken filled with nuts, turndown cheese etc accompanied by different drinks wine, brandy etc. In afternoon visit to Permet city known as “Flowers City”. You’ll see Leuses Church build in 1614. Stop the national park of Hotova, a natural complex where are found different kinds of wild animals such as bears, wolves etc.

DAY 03: Berat – Apollonia
After breakfast, proceed to Apollonia Archaeological Site – this ancient site was an important port along the route between Rome and Byzantium. Emperor Augustus studied there, and Aristotle mentioned the town in his book on politics. We continue to Byllis. It was the largest city in Southern Illyria and it has a dominance position over the hills of Mallakastra and over the valley of Vjosa. The city’s origins date back to the fourth century BC, when it was founded by the Illyrians. The original set of walls, whose foundations remain to this day, were built by the Illyrians during the third century BC. The ruins cover a vast area, in a triangular shape, for about two kilometers. We continue to Girokaster.

DAY 04: Girokaster – Blue Eye

Great importance Museum of Weapons, Enver Hoxha house and the castle. We continue and we admire “ Blue Eye “ is a water spring and natural phenomenon occurring near Muzine. A popular tourist attraction, the clear blue water of the river bubbles forth from a stunning, more than fifty-metre-deep pool. Divers have descended to fifty metres, but it is still unclear what the actual depth of the karst hole. Arrive in Sarande, visit of the city: Ohnemois’s ruins, Orthodox Church and promenade.

DAY 05: Sarande –Butrint
After breakfast, proceed to discover Butrint. Inhabited since prehistoric times, Butrint has been the site of a Greek colony, a Roman city and a bishopric. Following a period of prosperity under Byzantine administration, then a brief occupation by the Venetians, the city was abandoned in the late Middle Ages after marshes formed in the area. The present archaeological site is a repository of ruins representing each period in the city’s development. Visit Lekurski’s castle .

After breakfast, proceed to archaeological site of Apollonia, known for its Greek theatre, ancient fortifications and temple of gods, Roman classic promenade, city forum library, medioeval monastry and church. We drive to Vlora.

DAY 04: Valona – P.Palermo
After breakfast, we depart for Saranda. This day we will only drive along the Albanian Riviera overlooking the Ionian Sea. 30 minutes from Vlora we will stop at Llogara National Park for a quick break to have a stunning view of one of the most dramatic mountains of the Mediterranean and with panoramas overlooking the sea. We continue for Porto Palermo, where the Ali Pasha Castle stands like a barrier in front of the blue rocky sea as a protection for the country. The bay of Porto Palermo once served as an important secret submarine base during the regime days. The semi abandoned base and the tunnel are still visible. After the visit of Porto Palermo we proceed to Borsh, peace surrounded by waterfalls and running water. After we will continue along the breath-taking road to Saranda.

DAY 05: Sarande – Butrint

After breakfast, proceed to discover Butrint, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Greeks settled Butrint during the 6th century BC, although the area had been settled long before by the Illyrians. Within a century of the Greeks arriving, Butrint had become a fortified trading city with its own acropolis, the ruins of which you can still visit. Just below the acropolis in the forest is the 3rd century BC theatre, also used for performances by the Romans. Nearby are public baths with geometrical mosaics, and deeper into the forest is a wall with Greek inscriptions and a 6th-century baptistry decorated with colourful mosaics of animals and birds. Overlooking the whole site is an acropolis with a fortress erected by warlord Ali Pasha Tepelena early in the 19th century. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 01: Sarande – Blue Eye
Aftrer breakfast, departure to Blue Eye : is a water spring and natural phenomenon occurring near Muzine. A popular tourist attraction, the clear blue water of the river bubbles forth from a stunning, more than fifty-metre-deep pool. Divers have descended to fifty metres, but it is still unclear what the actual depth of the karst hole is. Continue to Girokaster many houses have a distinctive local style that has earned the nickname “ Town of stone “ , because most of the old houses have roofs covered with stones Unesco World Heritage. Great importance Museum of Weapons, Enver Hoxha house and the castle.

DAY 07: Girokaster–Voskopoja
After breakfast, proceed to Voskopoja through the heart of Vjosa valley, sorronded by imposing mountains in all sides. Voskopoja was an important cultural center with several churches and the first printing press in the Balkans. Continuation to Korca. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 08: Korce – Ohrid
After breakfast, proceed to we visit in Korca the Icon Museum and the Orthodox Cathedral. We departure for Macedonia to visit Sveti Naum monastery. Afterwards we continue to Ohrid to discover churches, amphitheatre and the castle. Arrive in Tirana.

DAY 01: Tirana – Lezha
After breakfast, proceed to you beginn the day with Lezha, visiting the memorial grave of Skanderbeg where he was buried. We drive to Shkoder. We visit Rozafa castle with an amazing view all around the lake of Shkodra and the Mezi Bridge.

DAY 10: Depart Tirana
Morning tour of the Albanian capital, including visits to the National museum, the main square and its clock tower, university and boulevard.
